Our Story

Our story began in 1973 when our grandparents, Paul and Mary-Alice, bought the property to have as a weekend getaway from their home in Orange, California for them and their three children, Susan, David, and Michael. The property was a gift to Mary-Alice for their 25th wedding anniversary. Paul asked Mary Alice if she'd prefer a new ring or to purchase the the ranch. She chose the ranch of course....Paul still bought her a new ring the following year! Mary-Alice then named the property SUDAMI, after their three children: 'Su' for Susan, 'Da' for David, and "Mi' for Michael. The family used this property to get away from the city life. Here they had their animals; from cattle to peacocks! Paul Suder was a general contractor, so many features on the property, like the pond, were built by Paul himself with the help of Michael and Dave. After many years of hard work, Paul and Mary-Alice retired and got to enjoy the ranch full time.
